Back in Action

Well, we're back in the Bay area after a few much needed days spent in Anchorage and Bethel. A fascinating article about an archaeological dig that is happening 60 miles to the north of us on the coast. This is the oldest Yup'ik village to ever be found, estimated to be 700 years old. Archaeologists race to preserve the artifacts melting in the once-frozen tundra. This article contains some great images from the dig, and we've been following the story closely in our Alaska Studies class.

    1. We enjoyed getting some heavily discounted groceries in their last week, but will miss shopping there. There's always the AC!
