Where have we been???

We’ve been away from the blog for quite some time! We’re so sorry that we’ve neglected all of you for SO long. Summer arrived and found us in need of some serious R&R and that’s exactly what we spent most of our summer doing. Last year was challenging in a number of areas. However, we’re recharged and ready for another year here in Goodnews.

There’s quite a bit to catch you up on so—instead of writing a 3 part novel, I’ll just show you some pictures to get you up to speed.

On the last day of school we always have a community clean up and picnic. Gary and Simon were in charge of cooking the meat this year!

Our best attempt at traveling light!

We spent a day or so in Anchorage before we headed back down states.

When you're exhausted from days of traveling and your parents won't let you sleep in!

We spent loads of time at the pool. (sorry for the blurry picture!)

Photo Credit to Chasing Eden Photography, Alyssa did an AWESOME job with Junie's 1 year pics!

Remember that R&R? We went on a cruise to the Bahamas!

The birthday girl!

Birthday party fun!

Who doesn't love Chick-fil-a?!

Grilled dinner and eating outside were staples of our summer!

We had lots of summer lunch dates!

Junie's excited at the prospect of all of those "bites"!

This store has a cool car to drive!

The difference a year makes!

We learned how to eat ice cream cones!

We even encountered a few rain delays...

And a game or two without Junie!

As you can see we enjoyed lots of time with family and friends!!

One more big event for us this summer was purchasing and moving into our first house! We spent a lot of time working to get it baby friendly and to make it feel like home to us.

  1. Hi Simon,
I hope you see this. Some folks can't read your blog because it says "permission denied". Would you tell me how to request permission. Folks here want to be able to read the blog. Oh, and more Junie pictures!!! :) Ja Nel
